Database Manager

The Database Manager is the tool for administrating SAP DB databases.
It is used for creating and monitoring database instances on the local computer or on remote computers. You can use the Database Manager to carry out backups and, if necessary, recoveries.

The Database Manager consists of a server part and a client part.
The same functionality is offered for the Database Manager regardless of which client you use.

A script interface is available.

Replication Manager

The Replication Manager provides developers and database administrators with a tool for loading data from external files into SAP DB databases and for unloading data from SAP DB databases into external files.

In addition to processing special load and unload commands, the Replication Manager can also execute all SQL statements. In this way, you can create command files that contain SQL statements in addition to DATALOAD commands. In particular, the DDL function of the SQL statements is indispensable in combination with the load command.

The Replication Manager consists of a server part and a client part.

Furthermore, the Replication Manager provides programming interfaces for the script languages Perl and Python.

SQL Studio

SQL Studio allows easy access to data in an SAP DB database.

The client part of the SQL Studio creates a connection to the database using the ODBC interface.
