The SQL statement CREATE VIEW (create_view_statement) is supported in SAP DB with restricted syntax. The following restrictions exist in SAP DB for the syntax of the CREATE VIEW statement:

• SAP DB rejects the specification of FORCE or NOFORCE.
• A constraint_name given to the CHECK OPTION is not stored in the database catalog. If no constraint name is specified, SAP DB does not generate a name.
• View tables that are updatable in Oracle are not necessarily updatable in SAP DB. This is especially true for view tables whose definition contains subqueries.
